The build does not change, the specification does
Every floor on this page is built the same way underneath. The slab gets diamond ground with dust extraction until we are down to clean open concrete. Cracks, divots and pitting get filled and levelled. An American made base coat goes down, flake is broadcast into it by hand until the surface is full, and the next day the excess is scraped back and a polyaspartic topcoat seals the system in.
What changes between a garage and a pool deck is not the method, it is the specification. An exterior deck needs an ultraviolet stable topcoat and a coarser texture for wet traction. A commercial stockroom needs build thickness matched to pallet jack traffic. A basement needs a moisture reading before anything is chosen at all.
That is why the walkthrough exists. Standing on the actual concrete is the only way to specify a floor honestly, and it is the reason none of these pages has a price on it.

The four stages, every job
Stage one is the grind. Diamond grinders with dust extraction take the slab down to clean, open concrete so the coating has a mechanical profile to key into. This is the stage that decides whether a floor lasts, and it is the one kits and cheap quotes skip.
Stage two is repair. Every crack, divot, pit and spalled patch gets cut out where it needs it, filled and levelled. Control joints get treated properly rather than coated straight across. A coating laid over a crack simply prints its shape and the crack opens again anyway.
Stage three is the base coat and the broadcast. American made base goes down and bonds into the profile, and flake goes into it by hand until the wet surface will not take another handful. Full broadcast, not a scatter.
Stage four is the scrape back and the topcoat. The loose chip comes off, the floor is vacuumed, and a polyaspartic topcoat seals the system in. That topcoat is the layer that takes the wear, resists the chemicals and gives you the finish you actually look at.
Most coatings fail because somebody skipped the prep. That is the part we will not rush.

Plenty of people call without knowing what the job is called, and that is completely fine. Describe the room and what is wrong with the floor and Jimmy will tell you which of these it is, or whether it is two of them.
A common one is a garage that has a failed coating on part of it and bare concrete on the rest. That is a refinish across the whole floor rather than a patch, because a new system laid next to an old one gives you a visible seam and two different lifespans in the same room.
Another is a basement that somebody wants to turn into a gym. That is one job with two sets of requirements, sealing against moisture and dust for the room, plus a plan for where the weight lands. Both get sorted at the walkthrough rather than guessed at over the phone.

How is this different from a kit off the shelf?
A kit gives you a thin film rolled over concrete that was etched rather than ground, which is why so many of them peel within a season. We profile the slab mechanically, use professional grade American made material at a much higher build, and back the result in writing. The material cost is a small part of the difference. The preparation is most of it.
How many colours are there?
Thirty one blends on the chart, from Raven and Tuxedo at the dark end through Dakota Grey and Lunar in the middle to Saddle Tan and Cookie in the warm range. Which one is right depends far more on the light in your room than on the chart, which is why the samples come to you rather than the other way round.
How many days does a garage floor take?
Two on site for a normal single or double bay. The grinding, repairs and base coat with the flake broadcast all happen on the first day, and the scrape back and topcoat on the second. After that it is light foot traffic the same evening and vehicles at about the three day mark.
What happens to the cracks in my slab?

What happens if something goes wrong later?
You call and we come out. Residential interior floors are covered for life against the system losing bond, and being twenty minutes up the road rather than a franchise head office three states away is what makes that worth anything. One customer had flaws caused by other trades on his house and we fixed those too, which was not covered by anything.
Will the price change once you start?
It should not, and that is the whole point of doing the walkthrough properly. Jimmy looks at the slab before quoting, so repairs are already in the number you are given. If something genuinely unexpected turns up once the old surface is off, you hear about it before we carry on, not on the invoice.
Is the house going to be covered in concrete dust?
No. Every grinder runs with extraction on it, and we mask off doorways and openings before anything starts. Some fine dust is unavoidable on any grinding job, but the difference between a machine with extraction and one without is the difference between a tidy site and a week of cleaning.
Are the materials any different from a big box kit?
Completely. A consumer kit is a thin, high water content coating designed to be rolled onto concrete somebody etched with acid. What we lay is a professional grade American made system at several times the build, bonded into a mechanically ground slab. The material is a small part of the price difference. The preparation is most of it.
