Three years, and the same two names on every job
Cobra Epoxy and Flake Coatings started because Jimmy and Justyn had both spent long enough in and around the trades to be tired of watching flooring work get done badly. Not spectacularly badly. Ordinarily badly. Slabs that were pressure washed instead of ground, cracks painted over, a thin coat rolled on and a cheque taken before the first winter arrived to prove the point.
So the company was built around the part everybody else was skipping. We grind, we repair, and only then do we coat. That is not a clever idea, it is simply the correct order, and doing it consistently for three years out of Boyertown is most of the reason our reviews read the way they do.
Justyn runs the floors and Jimmy runs the schedule and the quoting, which in practice means the person who walked your space and gave you a number is the person holding the grinder when the work starts. There is no call center in between and no salesperson who has never seen your concrete.

If you read the Google reviews for this company, the word that comes up more than any other is prep. That is unusual, because preparation is invisible in the finished floor. Nobody can look at a coated slab and see whether the concrete underneath was diamond ground or washed with acid. They find out eighteen months later when one of them peels.
The reason customers mention it anyway is that they watched it happen. A full day of grinding, dust extraction running, every crack and divot cut out and filled before a drop of coating went down. One review says it plainly, that every crack or divot was repaired, and that is the whole business model in a sentence.
The other thing that comes up is what happens when something goes wrong. One customer had minor flaws on a floor that were almost certainly caused by other trades working on the house at the same time. Cobra came back, knew it was not their fault, and fixed it anyway. That is not a policy written in a manual, it is just the only version of this job that lets you keep working in a county this size.

Cobra could be bigger. Taking on more crews and more trucks is not difficult in a market with this much bare concrete in it. What is difficult is keeping the standard identical across crews you are not standing next to, and the moment that slips the reviews change and the warranty starts costing money.
So we stay a size where Justyn is on the floor and Jimmy has seen every job. It means we occasionally cannot fit somebody in as fast as they would like, and we would rather tell you that honestly than squeeze you in and rush the grinding.
It also means the answers you get on the phone are real. If your slab has a moisture problem a coating will not solve, you will hear so at the walkthrough rather than after we have taken a deposit. That conversation costs us a job now and then. It has never cost us a warranty claim.

Who actually does the work?
Jimmy, Justyn and the crew. The person who quoted your job is the person holding the grinder, which is most of the reason customers keep mentioning the prep work in reviews. There is no call center, no salesperson who has not seen your slab and no subcontractor you have never met.
What products do you use?
American made materials throughout, which is a deliberate choice rather than a marketing line. We use them because they have proved themselves on floors we can go back and look at. The equipment is OSHA certified and the company holds Pennsylvania home improvement contractor registration 177204.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
Residential interior floors carry a true lifetime warranty against the system failing, which means peeling, delaminating or losing bond to the slab. It is written down rather than promised on the phone, and it is the reason we will not shortcut the grinding stage. Exterior work is warranted separately because sun, ice and ground movement are a different set of conditions.
Do you come out this far?
We run roughly fifty miles out from Boyertown, which covers Berks County and good parts of Montgomery, Chester and Lehigh. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask. We would rather tell you honestly than send somebody on a two hour round trip.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. There are discounts for military, police, fire and hospital workers, which is something the company has done from the start. There is also a referral arrangement where both parties save if you send a neighbor our way. Ask on the call rather than assuming it has been applied.
How does pricing work?
Jimmy walks the space, measures it, looks at the condition of the concrete and puts real pricing in your hands. No hidden fees and no surprises later, which is a promise the company was built on. Anything we find in the slab gets raised before the work starts rather than added to the bill afterwards.
