Where we work

Four counties, and an honest edge to the map

We are based in Boyertown, right in the south east corner of Berks County, and we run roughly fifty miles out from there. That reaches all of Berks, a large piece of Montgomery, the northern half of Chester and the southern boroughs of Lehigh.

The towns listed below are the ones we work in often enough to have written a page about. They are not a boundary. Plenty of jobs happen in places that are not on this list, and being absent from it does not mean the answer is no.

What it does mean is that at the far edge of the radius we will have an honest conversation with you about whether a small job makes sense as a standalone trip. Sometimes the answer is to pair it with something else nearby. We would rather say that than price a two hour round trip into a job and hope you do not notice.

We would rather tell you honestly than send somebody on a two hour round trip.

Why local actually matters here

Being properly local to this patch changes the work rather than just the drive time. Pennsylvania puts concrete through roughly forty freeze and thaw cycles a winter. Road salt gets tracked into every garage in these four counties from the first gritting run in November. Older housing stock across Berks and the Schuylkill boroughs sits on slabs poured thin and without a vapour barrier, and those behave nothing like a nineteen nineties township pour.

A company that works these conditions every week chooses product and preparation for them. One that works from a national spec sheet written somewhere warmer does not, and the difference shows up in the second or third winter rather than on handover day.

It also matters for what happens afterwards. A warranty is only as good as the willingness of somebody to drive out and honour it. When the company is twenty minutes away rather than a franchise head office three states over, that stops being a theoretical question.

On the map

Fifty miles from Boyertown

Boyertown sits where Berks, Montgomery, Chester and Lehigh all come within reach, which is the only reason a company this size can cover four counties properly.

Questions

Questions about coverage

What people ask before they check whether we come out to them.

Are you too far away to be worth it?

Ask us rather than assuming. At the far edge of the radius we will be straight with you about whether a small job stands up as its own trip or is better paired with something else nearby. What we will not do is price a long round trip into a job quietly and hope you do not notice.

How soon could you get here?

Jimmy gets back to you within a business day and the walkthrough is usually inside the week. Lead time to the actual install depends on the season, and exterior work in particular books up ahead of the summer, so spring and pool deck slots go early.

Are you actually local or is this a franchise?

Local, and small on purpose. Cobra is Jimmy and Justyn plus the crew, working out of Boyertown for three years. The person who quotes your job is the person holding the grinder, and there is no call centre in between.

Can you coat a garage floor in winter?

Yes, interior floors go in all year. A closed garage holds enough temperature to cure the system, and we will bring heat if a slab is genuinely cold. Winter is often the easier time to book because exterior work is out of season, so the schedule is more open.

When can exterior work be done?

Spring through autumn, with the forecast in hand. An outdoor slab has to be dry and it needs a settled window to cure, so we book exterior jobs around the weather and we will move a date rather than lay a coating that is about to get rained on.

What goes into the number?

Square footage, the condition of the concrete, how much repair it needs, how many edges have to be cut in by hand, whether anything has to come off first, and what the moisture reading says. Those last four are why two rooms of the same size are frequently not the same price, and why the walkthrough exists.
