Road salt is doing more than making a mess
Salt gets treated as a housekeeping problem. It is doing considerably more than that. Salt water freezes at a lower temperature, so it stays liquid longer and travels further into a slab before it freezes, which means it does its damage deeper inside the concrete rather than at the surface.
It also attacks chemically, working on the cement paste that holds the aggregate together. That is why the concrete around a garage door opening, which takes the heaviest salt exposure of anything on a property, is almost always the first part to break up.
Every car picks it up off the road from the first gritting run and drips it onto the same patch of garage floor overnight for four months. Sealing the floor is the only part of that chain a homeowner actually controls.

Darker blends hide tyre marks best, lighter ones open up a basement, and warm tones run cooler underfoot outdoors.
Do I have to drain the pool?
No. The deck has to be dry, but the water can stay where it is. Deck work happens either side of the swimming season rather than in the middle of it, so late spring and early autumn are the usual windows. Most people who get the date they want booked it over the winter.
How long have you been doing this?
The company is three years old and the people in it have considerably more time than that in and around the trades. It started because Jimmy and Justyn were tired of watching flooring work done badly, which is not a marketing origin story so much as the reason the preparation stage gets the time it does.
Is the warranty actually in writing?
Yes, you get it on paper. It covers the residential interior system against loss of bond, so peeling and delamination, for as long as you own the floor. We are comfortable offering that because the preparation is done properly, and a floor that was ground and repaired before the first coat does not come off. Outdoor work carries its own separate terms.
Can you do it soon?
Sometimes, and it is always worth asking. Jobs move and finish early, and when a day opens up it gets offered to whoever is flexible and nearby. Tell us if your dates are loose. What we will not do is squeeze you in by cutting the grinding short.
Where do the products come from?
They are made in the USA, and that has been the case since the company started. It is partly principle and mostly track record, because these are the systems we have watched hold up through Pennsylvania winters on floors we can drive back to.
